When piecing together my installation, I am going to be controlling where each of the elements are placed. One of the more important pieces of work that needs more thought of where to be placed is the sound installation.
I want to create the feeling of uncertancy and distortion through the sound piece. I want the listener to be so confused of what the sound is about, that it becomes almost one noise to them. The rest of the installation will hopefully relieve them to what the work is about and become more clear.
One way I can create this effect is to put the sound above the installation on the 'ceiling'. -'Research shows that the human ear mainly perceives sound horizontally. Sounds coming from above are not as easy for our ears to locate.'
